This article contains important industry information in areas throughout the state. This article covers events that occurred during the 2 week period of May 4th- May 18th, 2018. SOUTHWEST AREA: This includes Baton Rouge, Lafayette & Lake Charles. BATON ROUGE: The first half of May has flown by and added to what has already been a wildly successful 2018. The Baton Rouge District held a very informative District Meeting with our guest speaker Matt Emmons providing an in depth, yet very understandable presentation on Louisiana Lien Law. In addition to Matt, Dan Parry with PlanGrid demonstrated to the attendees how technology can make your construction employees more efficient on the jobsite. The Louisiana AGC Future Leaders Council met for their quarterly meeting this week discussing the 2018 Legislature and our ever popular Future Leaders Forum. The Forum this year is set to be held at our newly renovated AGC building on September 20th. Speaking of the Louisiana Legislature, that is where AGC had its biggest win earlier this week. SB 94 cleared its last hurdle at the capital and the Interest on Late Payments bill is now on its way to becoming law. Louisiana AGC would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our members who worked so diligently on seeing this bill through from beginning to end.
