Good Afternoon. I hope this message finds you well. LAGC is very excited to invite you to our District Meeting coming up soon. This will be a first of it's kind in the Lafayette area. In keeping with current trends, LAGC is tackling the Workforce shortage by highlighting our new Workforce Development Initiative. In that spirit we are proud to announce our partnership with the Lafayette Parish School Board and the W.D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center. Our District Meeting will be held at the Career Center on October 29th beginning at noon. The students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program will be cooking/serving lunch. We will also have a tour of the facilities, to include the carpentry, electrical, and welding labs. But to top it all off, Ken Naquin will be presenting the Lafayette Parish School Board with a check for $25,000 to kick of this partnership. We all know and understand how important Workforce Development is to the industry. These will be your new employees someday. And as an extra added bonus, this District luncheon is FREE. So please register early and show your support for the Lafayette Workforce Development Program. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all.
